FERS Pension Post

I decided to scrap this post until later notice because my methodology forgot the FERS contribution that is on all of our paychecks. This was kind of a big deal and threw my estimates out of whack.

Modeling that contribution wise might be more trouble than it’s worth, but if I have the time, I saved the post and will re-post it when the numbers are correct. It goes to show that you sometimes cannot do a full analysis of complex things like defined-benefit pensions in a short time when you’re not on your A-game.

Thanks to Aaron A. for the head’s up.
