I’m Pretty Sure Jenny is a Robot

So, last night I had internet troubles. And I fixed them myself. I cancelled my appointment that was set up for Friday. I did it entirely online.

However, I have a sneaking suspicion that ‘Jenny’ was a robot.

Jenny: I understand you would like to cancel the appointment you have scheduled for Friday.  Am I correct?

Jim Swift: That’s correct.

Jenny: You are very welcome.

Jim Swift: Can you do that?

Jenny: I am glad to assist you with your request during this chat session.

Jenny: To do so, I will need the following information as it is listed on your account: The 10-Digit Phone Number, full name of account owner or authorized and home address where the service is located.

Jim Swift: OK

Jenny: Fine.

Jenny: Thank you for the information. Bear with me, while I access and review your account. I appreciate your patience.

Jenny: Thank you for waiting.

Jenny: What is the reason for the cancellation of your appointment?

Jim Swift: I fixed the problem myself.

Jenny: Thank you.   Your appointment has been cancelled now.

Why do I have said suspicion? The “Fine” makes no sense, and the “You’re very welcome” is out of order. I wanted to toy around with her and ask her math questions to check. Kind of like those AIM bots.

What do you think? Regardless, I don’t care if the problem is fixed.
